Reckitt Benckiser wanted to have a way to encourage potential candidates for recruitment. To achieve this they contracted Euro RSCG Riley to build a game which consists of a series of scenarios in which the user is presented with a problem and subsequently selects a course of action. The options are presented in a multiple choice format. After each selection the consequences of the choice are shown whether they are good, bad or could be better. At the end of the game the user is shown the score achieved and if this is high enough they are encouraged to get in touch with the company.
The game is built entirely in actionscript 2 and is fully configurable via an XML file. To add some interesting visual content, each scenario has a background image and the transitions from scenario to result use a wipe bar which travels from left to right covering the old content and revealing the new as it goes. |
