Description White Spectrum is a data visualisation tool which tries to analyze the debate sparked by the BBC White season of programmes which aired on BBC2. Written in AS2 it shows a number of particles floating around in space. Each particle represents a sentence taken from the debate and is assigned a colour corresponding to the type of emotion word found in the sentence.

Particles also have a size which reflects the intensity of the emotion expressed and a brightness which indicates the average consensus (agreement/disagreement) on the comment. Thus comments can be clustered by their attributes leading to an interesting navigation experience through the debate. These particles can also be filtered to show exactly what the user would like to see at any given time.

Another mode of operation allows all the tag words used to be shown in a "cloud" allowing the user to view the debate from the perspective of a particular word.
